	Shut off electric power to the water heater before attempting repairs.
	Shut off cold water supply to the water heater.
	Drain the water heater if necessary.

Conservation tips for your water heater:

	Insulate the water heater if necessary with R12 insulation blanket.
	Insulate 8 feet of hot water pipes.
	Install energy-saving aerators and shower heads on all hot water outlets.
