Regulatory Information

CL&P's rates are regulated by a state commission, the Connecticut Department of Public Utility Control (DPUC). The latest list of electric-service providers licensed by the DPUC is available on its Web site. Other details about choosing an electricity supplier and energy restructuring are available on the DPUC site WattsNewCT.

To better understand the issues and terms surrounding energy restructuring in our state, see Connecticut's Energy Issues.

If you have questions about termination of service or your customer rights, call CL&P at 1-800-286-2000 (860-947-2000 in the Hartford or Meriden area). You may also call the DPUC at 1-800-382-4586.
