Lighting Rebate Program
(Effective January 1, 2008)
For 2008, CL&P continues to provide lighting rebates for all commercial and industrial (C&I) customers. New construction projects are not allowed under this program. All C&I customers, regardless of company size, are eligible to receive rebates for upgrading their lighting systems to more energy-efficient technologies.
Lighting upgrades to fluorescent lamps (T-8 systems, High Performance T-8 systems, Low Wattage T-8 systems,T-5s) and electronic ballasts; upgrading metal halide, mercury vapor, or high pressure sodium fixtures to pulse start metal halide lamps; replacement of incandescent fixtures with circline or compact fluorescent fixtures; retrofit or replacement of incandescent or compact fluorescent exit signs with LED type; and use of occupancy sensors or lighting controls, are available for rebates on a per-unit basis. Please note that for 2008, for 4 foot fluorescent lamps and accompanying ballasts, all T-8 systems are eligible for rebate. See www.cee1.org for current listings for eligible High Performance and Low Wattage T-8 lamps, and eligible electronic ballasts which are eligible for increased incentive levels beyond the incentives for standard T-8 systems
Detailed invoices (indicating manufactures model numbers of lamps and ballasts) must be submitted with completed application.
Lighting projects, wherein rebates may be greater than $999.00, require pre inspection as well as post inspection by CL&P.
