Natural Gas RFP Program
The Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation, Southern Connecticut Gas Company, and Yankee Gas Services Company, hereinafter "the Utilities", are soliciting proposals from any qualified party for natural gas efficiency projects to be implemented at commercial or industrial firm gas customer sites. Project awards under this program will be on a competitive basis based on level of utility incentive requested, cost-effectiveness, project comprehensiveness, project timing, and a customer's long-term commitment in gas conversation.
The Request for Proposal (RFP) Natural Gas Efficiency Program is intended to capture natural gas energy-efficiency potential. The program offers incentives for measurable energy savings achieved by the installation of energy-efficiency measures at commercial and industrial sites. Commercial and industrial customers of the Utilities, as well as energy service companies and other third-party service providers representing the Utilities' customers, will be eligible to participate in this program. The commercial and industrial customers must purchase firm natural gas from one of the Utilities to be eligible for the program.
The RFP program will operate through a bidding process. Details regarding the bidding process, requirements and deadlines will be discussed at a Bidder's Conference on August 21, 2007 at the Northeast Utilities East Conference Dining Room, 107 Selden Street in Berlin, CT. The meeting will start at 8:00 a.m. with registration and refreshments and the program will begin at 8:30 a.m. Please register online by August 17, 2007.
