Wholesale (FERC - Regulated) Transactions with CL&P Affiliates

CL&P may, from time to time, sell to or purchase electric power from its affiliates at wholesale, under Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regulated tariffs or other FERC required terms and conditions. To disclose all power sales or purchase transactions between CL&P and its affiliates, CL&P lists these wholesale transactions on this page.

Listed below are all such transactions CL&P has with its affiliates.

1. Wholesale Transition Agreement with Select Energy, Inc. -- Pursuant to the DPUC decision in Docket No. 99-03-36, and a FERC filing in Docket No. ER00-102, CL&P, WMECO, HP&E, HWP and PSNH (the NU Operating Companies) have entered into a Wholesale Transition Agreement with Select Energy, Inc., under which Select will acquire all the power supply necessary to meet the needs of 32 customers that have wholesale contracts with NU Operating Companies and provide all contract administration services under those contracts. The term of this arrangement is until all such wholesale contracts are assigned or terminated pursuant to their terms, which range between 2000 and 2013. The quantities involved are as per the individual wholesale contracts, and the revenues to Select are the revenues received by the NU Operating Companies from these wholesale customers.
