eesmarts™ is a free energy efficiency and clean, renewable learning program for grades K-12. The program teaches students about energy, energy conservation renewable energy and climate change – empowering them to take action.
eesmarts offers free energy education professional development workshops to Connecticut educators (private and public). Workshops can be customized for district-specific training, or individuals can attend our general workshops or Summer Institute for professional development. All eesmarts workshops are developed and led by the Capitol Regional Education Council (CREC).
The program also offers free curriculum and materials for K-12 educators who attend eesmarts workshops. These lessons are supportive of the CT Science & Math Framework Standards,and the Next Generation Science Standards, while facilitating preparation for the CT Mastery and the CT Academic Performance Tests.
