This program is one of several innovative solutions offered by Energize Connecticut and administered by CL&P.
eesmarts™ is a free energy efficiency and clean, renewable learning program for grades PreK-9. The program teaches students about energy, energy conservation and renewable energy – empowering them to take action.
eesmarts offers free energy-efficiency education workshops that are eligible for Connecticut continuing education unit credits. Workshops can be customized for district-specific training, or individuals can attend our general workshops or Summer Institute for professional development. All eesmarts workshops are developed and led by Wesleyan University’s Project to Increase Mastery of Mathematics and Science (PIMMS).

The program also offers free curriculum lessons for PreK- Grade 9 teachers who attend eesmarts workshops. These lessons are supportive of the CT Science Framework Standards and the National Science Standards, while facilitating preparation for the CT Mastery and the CT Academic Performance Tests.
