• SC/EAC Charge: the Generation Services Charge (GSC) and Energy Adjustment Clause (EAC) charge reflect most of the cost of procuring energy from CL&P's wholesale suppliers.

Delivery Services Charges Detail

• Transmission:the charge for delivery of electricity over the high-voltage power lines from the generation company to CL&P.
• Distribution: CL&P charges for delivery of electricity over poles and wires to homes and businesses.
• Competitive Transition Assessment (CTA): the charge that allows the electric distribution company to recover restructuring-related stranded costs. Depending on the rate, the CTA charge may be broken down into two parts, based on either On Peak or Off Peak consumption or on stepped kilowatt-hour consumption. The Prod/Trans Demand Charge is the Production/Transmission Demand Charge showing the highest average 30-minute kilowatt demand for the month.
• Combined Public Benefits: represents a combination of the Conservation and Load Management charge, Renewable Energy Investment Charge and Systems Benefits Charge.
• Federally Mandated Congestion Charge (FMCC) -- Delivery: a federally mandated charge related to the reliability of supply delivered by the electric system
• 2006 CTA Refund: a refund of anticipated over-collections of the Competitive Transition Assessment (CTA) charge. This refund will continue through December 2006.
• CT Mfgr's Get CR: Gross Earnings Tax credit for manufacturers with SIC codes between 2000 and 3999.
• Transmission Adj Clause: the Transmission Adjustment Clause charge reflects transmission costs approved by the Federal Regulatory Energy Commission.
