We all love to beautify our property with plantings and trees. But trees can cause damage leading to power outages.

Before any tree work is performed by CL&P in your neighborhood, tree owners will be notified of the planned work either by a letter delivered in the US Mail for routine maintenance trimming or by a visit from the contractor for enhanced tree work. If you are notified by letter, you have 15 days to contact us about any concerns by calling 800-286-2000. If a CL&P contractor cannot make personal contact for enhanced tree work, a door hanger will be left on the door knob that contains an explanation of the planned work and a consent form. Of course, the schedule for tree trimming work is subject to change based on weather conditions.
