Generator Interconnections
The following information is for residential, commercial and industrial power generators who wish to interconnect safely with CL&P’s power system.
What is Distributed Generation?
Distributed Generation produces electricity from many small energy sources including solar, wind, fuel cell, and micro turbines. It is also commonly referred to as on-site generation, co-generation, combined heat and power, dispersed generation, or distributed energy. Distributed Generation can lower costs, improve reliability, reduce emissions, or expand your energy options. To interconnect with CL&P’s system safely, please refer to the generator interconnection guidelines.
Is Distributed Generation right for me?
It is important to evaluate and understand how distributed generation can work for you, the technologies available, and the benefits and costs associated with installing a generating facility. Learn more about energy options and incentives, including solar and wind by visiting:
