Our programs use financial incentive strategies to help customers offset the cost of purchasing and installing energy-efficient equipment and implementing advanced operation and maintenance practices. Energy efficiency is a proven way to reduce the cost of doing business. Thousands of Connecticut businesses have reduced their overhead by using electric energy-efficiency equipment and incorporating energy conservation practices in their facilities.
Now, there are even more opportunities to save energy. In addition to electric energy-saving measures, our Energy Opportunities and O&M Services programs include incentives for natural gas efficiency measures too. Firm gas customers of Yankee Gas Services Company, Connecticut Natural Gas and Southern Connecticut Gas can participate. With the addition of natural gas efficiency opportunities, businesses can benefit from seamless, integrated programs that will reduce their total energy usage.
Small Business Energy Advantage: Your small business needs every advantage it can get. Participate in this retrofit program tailored for small businesses that provides financial incentives and attractive financing.
Energy Opportunities: This incentive program helps customers exchange or modify inefficient, functioning equipment such as lighting, HVAC, chillers, motors, controls, water heaters and commercial cooking equipment with high-efficiency alternatives for maximum electric and natural gas savings.
O&M Services: This program provides incentives and assistance for electric and natural gas energy-efficiency improvements through specialized maintenance and repairs.
Retro Commissioning: Provides technical, engineering and financial incentives to identify inefficiencies in your building's energy management system and optimize the operation of your building.
PRIME: Manufacturing customers can increase productivity and reduce energy usage through implementing Lean Manufacturing Techniques.
Multi-Family: A customized program to help serve the diverse needs of multi-family property owners or managers.
Commercial Lighting Retrofit Incentive Data Collection Form: We offer up to 35% of the installed cost for standard lighting retrofits, capped at the greater of $0.35 per annual kWh saved, or $1,000 per Summer peak demand saved.
We also offer up to 40% of the installed cost for high performance lighting retrofits (LED or Induction lighting), capped at the greater of $0.45 per annual kWh saved, or $1,000 per Summer peak demand saved.
In order to qualify you must have a signed Letter of Agreement from CL&P prior to installation of your new lighting.

Only a Letter of Agreement (LOA) signed by CL&P Management AND counter-signed by the program Participant is considered to be a valid estimation of incentives. The final incentive for a project depends on multiple factors including the actual installed equipment, costs, and energy savings - so any change in project parameters may result in a change in incentives.
Lighting Rebate - A lighting rebate is available for CL&P business customers as an opportunity to improve the energy efficiency of their store or building.
